Kent McCormack has been working as an artist since the mid 80’s. Originally from Adelaide, he relocated to Sydney in 1992 spending the best part of three decades involved in the ownership and operation of a recruitment firm seizing pockets of time to paint and exhibit in Sydney and Adelaide before returning to SA in 2022. Kent has exhibited in many selected group shows and enjoyed successful one man shows in Adelaide and Sydney. He is also the recipient of multiple prizes throughout Australia, as well as a finalist in selected shows including ‘The Gallipoli Prize 2017’. Kent is not only an accomplished artist — he is a patient, generous and passionate art educator. Students consistently describe his workshops as supportive, inspiring and technically rich. He brings clarity to complex techniques, offers thoughtful guidance at every stage, and creates an environment where every learner feels confident and capable.
